Availability & Security

On this page you can read about the services we offer to make our convention as accessible and safe as possible.

For us, it is important that everyone at GothCon should be able to participate, and we do everything we can to ensure that you have the best possible GothCon experience. If you are missing any information, you can contact us info@gothcon.se or talk to the staff at the reception at the convention.

Don't forget to eat, drink and sleep properly at the convention!

Availability

Wheelchair
GothCon has a lot of stairs! However, there is also access to an elevator for those who need it and with the exception of a few rooms, the convention is accessible to you in a wheelchair. To be able to use the elevators you must use a tag that you sign out at the reception. Since we have a limited number, you need to contact us well in advance of the convention at lokal@gothcon.se.

Pram
Of course we want you to be able to bring your children to GothCon. If you need to get around with a stroller, please let us know well in advance of the convention at lokal@gothcon.se so that you can acknowledge a lift tag at the reception.
As we have a limited number of tags, people with reduced mobility have priority over pushchairs.

Quiet room

At GothCon it is not uncommon for the noise level to be high and for there to be a lot going on everywhere. That is why there is a quiet room where your husband can go to get some peace and quiet. In the quiet room, no games are allowed or loud talking is allowed. The room is open to everyone and is listed as an event in the program.

Healthcare

If you have injured yourself, you should contact the reception or someone in the staff and they will call for medical personnel. If it is an emergency, call 112.

Security guards

At GothCon we have security guards who walk around the convention. These people are there to make sure you feel comfortable at the convention and you can turn to them if you feel worried, have questions or just need someone to talk to. You can recognize our security guards by their yellow ribbons and pins that say “security guard”! It is also always good to turn to the reception, the café or someone in the staff.
