Welcome to board game speed dating at GothCon for those of you who are open to meeting someone!
Age limit 18+.
Do you dream of meeting a geek who understands your hobbies and interests?
Then come to our event and see if you click with someone!
You will sit with 5 others at a table and play a simple game that we have prepared and laid out on the table.
You will be able to write down who you want to get to know more, and if they have written down your name, you will get a match!
You will play for about 20 minutes and then rotate to sit at a different table and play a different game with new faces. There will be a 10 minute break between each round of play.
The games that will be played are Just one, Wavelength, Fake artist goes to New york and Herd Mentality.
We will use digital match lists as you can get answers faster after the event. You enter your match into your phone.
Who is the arrangement suitable for?
⁃ This is a beginner-friendly arrangement for adults looking for love.
If you want to participate in the event, you should show up at 2:30 PM, so you have time to register and the event starts at 3 PM and ends at 5 PM.

Flotte d'échantillons
Flotte d'échantillons is a real-time strategy game that combines economics and research with naval battles.
During 90 minutes of play, two coastal nations measure their strengths against each other.
The game is, in the truest sense of the term, tied to real time. All actions and game mechanical processes are measured with hourglasses, how quickly a ship crosses hexagons, how quickly cannon batteries recharge, the time it takes to build a new mine or develop a new ship type.
The choice of components and designs provides a fast and action-packed strategic, as well as tactical gaming experience. The lack of arrow measuring, dice rolls and tables means that the game can start without long and complicated instructions.
To solve the game's many parallel processes, it is good if each team has two to three players.

Elghag Sällskapsspel
A place families with children should not miss.
Elghag Sällskapsspel is a newly started small company that has published the children's game Små Trädgårdsmästare, which is a cozy game about five insects that can be played in two variants. The game expert selected this as one of his six Christmas gift tips for children for Christmas 2025.
Easter Quest is an Easter game about quickly finding the right Easter egg in a maze-like forest, for children and families. The game has been published by the French Matagot and it is Marcus (who runs Elghag Sällskapsspel) who also created this game.
Both Little Gardeners and Easter Quest will be available to play and purchase.

GNOMAGEDDON
We have created our first board game, GNOMAGEDDON. Where the one with the most garden gnomes and the best garden wins, just like in real life.
GNOMAGEDDON is already the most played game among gnomes, but now it's coming to the masses. GNOMAGEDDON is a chaotic card game about creating combos and strategies, then watching them fail and be destroyed by your "friends". Use your trusty gnomes to build a stronger garden. But with each addition to your garden, doomsday draws closer.

DUNE: Imperium
Come play DUNE: Imperium and the Open GothCon Championship! In addition to competing to see who is the best at GothCon, there are also PVP slots for the qualifiers for the official Open Swedish Championship in DUNE: Imperium which will be decided at LinCon later this year!
Who can strategically dominate Arrakis and deliver SPICE to the entire universe? It's time to find out!
We welcome both veterans and beginners to this exciting competition! We start with three qualifying sessions and end with an A and B final. Each session can take a maximum of 20 players. Show up well in advance, preferably a full 15 minutes, before the session starts to register your attendance and be assigned a place.
We're running mixed tables of Dune Imperium and Dune Uprising with different expansions and variants. Can you master them all?
A review of the rules will be done on site if you are a beginner or need a refresher. Everyone is equally welcome!

You are welcome here if you want a calmer environment to play board games in. Maybe you suffer from fatigue or have difficulty with attention. Maybe you have been diagnosed with ADHD or autism. Maybe you have a friend who needs to calm down and you want to play together.
This is where all gaming groups can come if there is at least one person in the group who really needs to be quieter. What we mean by this is that if someone, for example, is going to give up board games because they can't concentrate in a regular gaming room - then your group fits in here. We ask you to respect the premises, and not sit here if you can sit in another room, as places are limited. Being temporarily tired of noise is unfortunately not enough because we expect that the demand for this room is higher than what we offer places.
In the evenings, no one from the event will be here, but you are welcome to sit here anyway.

Inkfish Island
A failed mutiny sinks the ship. You are washed ashore on a deserted island, along with your rivals. The goal is to leave the island, or make sure you are the only one left...
II is a brutal duel for survival. You must deal with famine, heat waves, blizzards and angry bees, all while competing with your rival for the island's scarce resources.
My vision is:
* Accessibility. Simple rules, clear structure, quick setup, short waiting times.
* Deep strategy. Every choice matters. Plan for bottlenecks and manage risks. No strategy is superior - it's all about context and alignment.
* Replay value. Changing weather, fate, and your enemy's intentions make each round unique. Win by building a raft, sending smoke signals, or being the last survivor. Will it be you or the island that decides how it all ends?
In Inkfish Island, strategy and gambling, lightheartedness and desperation meet.

Nations dynasties/Gaia project lost fleet
Nation's dynasties:
From the humble beginnings of civilization through the ages of historical progress, humanity has lived, fought, and built together in nations. Great nations protect and provide for their own, while fighting and competing against both other nations and nature itself. Nations must provide food and stability as their populations increase. They must build a productive economy. And all the while, they must amaze the world with their great achievements to build their legacy as the greatest nations in human history!
Nations is an intense historical board game for 1-5 players that takes 40 minutes per player to play. Players control the fate of nations from their humble beginnings in prehistoric times to the outbreak of World War I. Nations are constantly competing against each other and must balance immediate needs, long-term growth, threats, and opportunities. We also have the Dynasties expansion available.
Gaia Project: Gaia Project is a game in the Terra Mystica series. Just like in the original Terra Mystica, fourteen different factions live on seven different types of planets, and the factions are tied to their own home planets. In order to develop and grow, they must terraform neighboring planets into their home environments in competition with the other groups. In addition, Gaia planets can be used by all factions for colonization, and transdimensional planets can be converted into Gaia planets.
All factions can improve their skills in six different areas of development: Terraforming, Navigation, Artificial Intelligence, Gaia Shaping, Economy, Research; leading to advanced technology and special bonuses. To do all this, each group has special skills and abilities.
We also have the opportunity to play with the expansion The Lost Fleet.

Nemesis
Nemesis is a themed board game with miniatures based on the Alien movie. You and your fellow players wake up on a spaceship, confused by hypersleep amnesia, but why is the ship standing still? And why is one of your shipmates lying dead in a pool of blood, with a large bite bitten out of his body? Now you want to survive and complete your personal mission – but – does everyone want the same thing? Or is there someone on board who is after you?
We play a game of Nemesis and Nemesis: Lockdown, in semi-coop mode. At each game table there is an experienced co-player who runs the game engine and explains the rules.
Time: Friday 18:00-22:00, and the game takes about 4 hours

Age limit: The space horror theme means that we have an age limit of 12 years with a parent and 15 without.

My Garden is a game for 2-4 players about digging up and preparing to play something fun in a private garden.
Game time 30-45min. Your goal is to find the right game components as quickly as possible and place them so that you can play your favorite game. Along the way, you may accidentally place something in someone else's way, but that's what happens.
