As is tradition, the GothCon auction will of course return at GothCon XLIX!
\r\nIt's time again to expand or clear out your game collection while raising money for the Swedish Childhood Cancer Foundation!
\r\n
\r\nHow does it happen then?
\r\nAs in previous years, we will have two submission sessions, one on Friday and one on Saturday, where visitors to the convention can come by and submit items to be sold at the auction. You can either choose to sell items at the auction and get paid afterwards, or you can choose to donate the entire amount to charity. This year, we will also have a donation table next to the submissions where you can easily leave items you want to donate to charity. We will then handle all the administration, sell the item in question and make sure the money goes to charity.

\r\nViewing of everything to be sold during the auction will take place on Saturday 12:00 - 13:00.
\r\nThe auction itself will begin on Saturday at 3:00 PM and, as in previous years, will be run in two halves, one for each bidding group, with a shorter break of about 10-15 minutes in between.
\r\n
\r\nPlease note that the number of entries submitted is limited to 20 per person, as we want as many people as possible to have the chance to submit items. Please think carefully about what you submit and how you package it. Feel free to bundle books and games together, which can also make them easier to sell. We will put removable stickers on all entries, so fragile games, books and magazines may need to be wrapped in completely transparent plastic or put in plastic bags. Remember that you should be able to easily see what is being sold, so no taped cardboard boxes, black garbage bags or overly creative wrapping.
\r\nThere will be some access to string and tape at the time of submission, but please prepare beforehand and it will go faster.

\r\nPlease note that this is an auction for board games, figurine games, card games, role-playing games, and gadgets related to the hobby. We reserve the right not to accept bids that do not fit this theme. If we receive too many bids for any product, we may decline to accept more of the same product. Email us if you have any questions, thoughts, or concerns regarding the auction!

\r\nThe fee for submitting a bid is 10 SEK\/bid and is charged regardless of whether the item is sold or not. The auction fee goes entirely to the Swedish Childhood Cancer Foundation. At the auction, the minimum starting price is 20 SEK and the minimum allowed bid increase is even 10 SEK.
\r\nIn order to submit calls and participate in the auction, you must have paid admission to the convention.
\r\nIt is possible to set a minimum reserve price. However, avoid setting reserve prices, especially high ones, as this often means that auctions do not sell. We prefer to see as few reserve prices as possible and reserve the right to refuse submission if we believe a requested reserve price is unreasonable.

\r\nPayments
\r\nLike last year, we primarily take payment via Swish during the auction. It is possible to pay in cash provided you have even money as we do not have an actual exchange office. Please choose Swish as much as possible.
\r\n
\r\nPayments for sold calls
\r\nPayments to sellers after the auction will be made to a bank account. This requires that you as a seller provide us with bank account details + clearing number during submission. For donated items where the entire amount is donated to charity, no bank details are needed. Payments will not be made on site but will be made by the association's treasurer within 2-3 weeks after the end of the convention.

\r\nSubmission:
\r\nFriday 20:00 - 21:30 or until we have received approx. 200 calls.
\r\nSaturday 09:00 - 10:30 or until we have received approx. 200 calls.
\r\nViewing: Saturday 12:00 - 13:00
\r\nAuction: Saturday 15:00 - about 19-ish (until we are done)
\r\nHandover of unsold items: Saturday 22:00 - 23:00 (if we sell everything, this will be cancelled)
\r\nLocation: The auction will be held as usual in the Norra Aula. This applies to submission, viewing and the auction itself. The handover of unsold items will be done by the Auction Group in connection with the Organizer's Reception.<\/p>\n
