Can I bring animals to the convention?
No. Only assistance dogs are allowed.
Can I bring nuts to the convention?
No. The convention has a strict nut ban.
Is there a cloakroom at the convention?
It varies from year to year. If there is a wardrobe, it is an arrangement and can be found in the program on the website.
Is it possible to make a refund on a ticket or product?
No.
Is it possible to buy tickets on site at the convention?
Yes.
Is the price different if I buy online than if I buy on site?
No, it's the same price regardless. For a discounted price you can register as an official.
Can I visit the convention without buying a ticket?
At GothCon you are welcome to shop in the shops and at the various eateries without purchasing a ticket. All other activities such as participating in program items or playing games in our premises require a ticket.
Can I transfer my ticket to someone else?
Unfortunately, this is not possible. Instead, contact kassor@gothcon.se for a refund.
How do I check in to the convention?
To check in you need to go to the reception and create an account or log in. Condaba. Then you will receive a bracelet that corresponds to your ticket.
Is there a microwave for baby food at the convention?
Microwaves are only available upon request for heating children's food. Ask the cafeteria staff.
Are dormitory rooms available?
This varies from year to year. You can find information about dormitories on the website or by emailing lokal@gothcon.se.
Is there WiFi at the convention?
GothCon does not have its own WiFi. However, there are networks that are open, but we cannot guarantee access to these.
Is it possible to visit the convention with a stroller or wheelchair?
All premises except the gymnasium in the north building are accessible and there are also lifts in these buildings. To use the lifts you need to redeem a lift tag at reception. This must be notified well in advance of the convention to lokal@gothcon.se.
Is there parking at the convention?
GothCon does not offer parking. All parking lots adjacent to the convention are owned by the municipality and are subject to a fee. We do not recommend arriving by car as parking options are very limited.
Is GothCon for profit?
No, GothCon is a non-profit organization. All proceeds from the convention go towards running and improving next year's convention.
What does the ticket price go towards?
Ticket prices and fees for various events go towards covering GothCon's costs, the largest of which is the rent for our premises. Raw materials and materials for food preparation, as well as logistics costs, are other major expenses.
I remember that GothCon opens on Thursday, not Friday, is that still the case?
We always try to have a 'sneak premiere' on Thursday night but we don't always have time. GothCon always has officially open on Friday.
If you would like to help us set up the convention on Thursday, you can register as an official.
If you show up on Thursday before we open and you don't feel like helping, we will ask you to leave the area and let us work.
Why are so few DnD/Diplomacy/Monopoly/Pig Throwing/Twilight Empire/Other games being organized at GothCon?
All activities in our program are arranged by volunteers, most of whom are outside the association, who create arrangements for the convention. The annual program is unique and entirely dependent on who registers.
If you want to influence our offerings, you can request events in the visitor survey sent out after the convention and hope that we in turn request this type of event on social media. Alternatively, you can organize the activity yourself, or convince someone else to do so.
Do those who work for GothCon get free clothes?
Officials get a staff T-shirt that is intended as both workwear and merch. Those who work in the kitchen get a coat. GothCon's staff get a white shirt or hoodie. All other clothing that staff members wear they have paid for themselves.
How do you handle lost and found items?
Lost and found items can be dropped off or picked up at reception.

Registration usually opens in the fall and you will find information about when it opens on our social media.

Is it possible to make prints at the convention?
We only help with small printouts in emergencies. Please contact the event reception or a person in charge of the event team for assistance.
How do I check in to the convention as an organizer?
You check in at the organizer reception which is located next to the regular reception where you will need to log in. Condaba. They can also help you find the right one and answer other questions.
How much does it cost to exhibit at GothCon?
You can rent space at GothCon either by paying for a table or for the room/part of the room. Depending on which facilities we have from year to year, prices may vary slightly. For updated information about prices, email butik@gothcon.se.
How big are the tables you rent?
GothCon takes place in school premises and the tables therefore consist of two school desks. The dimensions are 160×80 per table.

Where can I see which exhibitors are coming to the convention?
When organizer registration closes, we will publish all events on the website under Program.
Do I get anything for exhibiting at GothCon?
Exhibitors receive this year's mug, food vouchers for our cafeteria and admission to the convention.
